GIRL!!!
Despite almost everyone's boy predictions, despite the different pregnancy and totally opposite cravings, Baby Bway 2.0 is a girl!
To say I was shocked is an understatement. I don't know why. From the start I really wanted another girl. But then I spent so much time being told it was a boy and telling myself it was a boy, I think I honestly believed it was a boy. And then I started to really want to experience having a little boy. So when the card read GIRL, it took me a full few minutes to soak it in.
We found out the sex at our 20 week ultrasound so they also examined every inch of her teeny little body, and everything appears to be very healthy. She was very tired and all balled up for most of the examination, but would move throughout the poking and prodding so they were able to get a good peek at her. This is different than her older sister, who was very stubborn and took two doctors pushing, poking, and prodding to be able to get a look at her. However, just like her big sister, she appears to already be self soothing through thumb sucking. How did I end up with two thumb suckers?!! Orthodontists everywhere will love us in 15 years.
Our plan had been to keep the sex a secret until Adly's family birthday party next weekend, when most of our family would be present. I laugh out loud at this decision now. I don't know who we were kidding. We are the WORST secret keepers that ever lived! Literally as soon as we found out, I dried my tears, Adam slammed some wine (TWO girls!?!) and the appetizers arrived, we were ready to head home and call our families.
Adam always knew he wanted to carry on his middle name, Farrell, to one of his future children. Once we found out Adly was a girl, we decided to pull her middle name from my side of the family. For the second baby we decided we would use Farrell for the middle name, whether it was a boy or a girl. Soon after Adly was born, we began talking about another girl name, and how it could it ever be just as special as Adly's name. That was when Adam brought up the idea of carrying down his grandma Eleanor's name. I loved the name from the start, and although I was never able to meet her, I had heard many amazing things about her. From that moment on, we planned on using Eleanor, were we ever to have another girl.
I'm so glad we ended up doing it the way we did, and not waiting another week. We
were able to share the news and the decision of the name individually
with our parents and it was very special. When we called his mom to tell her the news last night (Eleanor was her mother), she was beyond thrilled and it was a very special, emotional moment.
So, meet little miss Eleanor (Ellie) Farrell. Sucking her little thumb from the start, just like her big sister!

Big News....
As it so happens, Adam and I are apparently extremely fertile. He so much as looks at me and BAM! There's a baby in there. We decided to start "trying" in February because it would mean the birth of our second child would happen at the end of Adam's golf season.
While it lands in the middle of my school year, we decided Adam being home was more important. Well, I had the main influence over that. Baby number one was extremely hard on me mentally and physically. Hard to imagine now that she's almost two and so good. SEE??!! This is why people do it again. They forget. They forget everything. Anyways, on top of that, Adam was gone 90% of every day. Throw in the fact most of our family lives far away and a dose of PPD that caused me to want no help whatsoever created a big storm of a hell I hope never happens again. I wrote about all of it when I was coming out of it and I hope one day I can find the strength to share about it all.
But that's besides the point. Let's get to the fact that we started trying in February and by the end of February some funky spotting was going on so on a whim I took a pregnancy test. I mean, there was no way I was pregnant....right?
Sure enough, that little test showed up a nice faint positive. This was quite different from Adly's three tests in a row that turned a bright blue positive immediately. I called the doctors office to find out the chances of a false positive test. The regular nurse wasn't in, so I spent an hour on the phone with the hospital, trying to convince them I didn't need to come in and that I wasn't having a miscarriage. I mean, I spent two weeks heavily bleeding with Adly, hence why we didn't know until around 8 weeks. Plus, I was so early this time I didn't think there was major cause for concern. I went in the next week for blood tests and sure enough, I was pregnant at about 4 weeks along.
Knowing you're pregnant so early suuuuuucks. I felt like crap for most of it and had nothing fun like a hangover to blame for it. Then there's the constant, incessant worry. I would much rather live blissfully unaware until the end of the rocky first trimester and then be all like "Oh! I'm pregnant! And I only have 28 more weeks to go! Lovely!" I started to feel amazing again around 9 weeks after feeling pretty crappy, which of course in the twisted world of pregnancy is never a good sign. At 11 weeks I was a nervous wreck as we went in for our next ultrasound. As soon as we saw inside, that little baby was a kicking and a punching, which put my mind at ease....for a week.
Then we went to Mexico and I felt soooo good, I just couldn't believe I was still pregnant. So by the time I made it to my 13 week checkup, I was convinced something had happened. I mean I didn't feel pregnant in any way. I could've easily been drinking my way though Mexico, dancing the night away (until 10pm because oh my God I cannot stay awake!!) Sure enough, she found that little heartbeat be-bopping away immediately. It's just another reminder that this time is no different. We pregnant ladies are all CRAZY, no matter how many times you've stepped into the ring.
Now comes the waiting game of finding out the sex. This is our last and final child and I want to know more than ever. With Adly, I had a feeling of her being a girl from the moment we found out. It was just this weird feeling. This time, I'm not having a strong feeling either way. Some days I feel it's a boy, some days I feel it's a girl. However the other day, I came home from work and Adly was feeling quite snuggly. She leaned up against my stomach, rubbing it saying "Mama got a baby in her belly. Adly be gentle." These sayings are all normal. Then she whips out "mama got a brudder in her belly."
I'm sorry, WHAT!?!?
Never before have any of us mentioned her possibly having a brother. If anything, I'd expect her to say sister since we always call her a big sister. So either my child is a creepy psychic or its just by chance. But I swear if it turns out to be a boy, I'll be watching her from now on out of one eye. Always.
Being a second time preggo mom with a toddler is very different. I can tell poor baby number two is definitely going to get the shaft in pregnancy. I'm sorry in advance child. I'm exhausted most of the time and I have a toddler who likes to "work" on my keyboard as I do, so blogging about it seems to be extra difficult. And the nursery. Or as we call it, the guest bedroom, will remain that. Baby number 2 will be getting the crib from Adly. The one with beaver chew marks all over the railing (apparently we don't feed her enough). And the same changing table and rocking chair. As far as decorating, I'm not nearly as concerned as I was with baby #1 now that I know they'll spend most of their time pooping, peeing, and spitting up all over any decorating I do get done. And the belly pictures...I keep thinking about starting them but that takes work. And I'm kind of burnt out from working my day job and then my mommy job by 7pm. Heaven forbid Adly actually help me take pictures. I mean, what gives?! Hopefully I can get on board with those sooner than later.

After getting through 3-4 weeks of feeling terrible, eating only cereal and toast, and all kinds of nighttime yucky nausea, I've been feeling amazing since 9 weeks. And THAT I can't complain about. But of course, I'm me, so I will find something. You want to know what is the most not awesome thing so far this pregnancy? My OBGYN went over my charts from Adly at my appointment on Thursday (she wasn't the one who delivered me) and as she did, she balked at the size of Adly at 8lb, 13oz, who was born one week early. Adly had been hiding in there. She hadn't measured big, so we weren't prepared for a giant baby to exit me. I specifically remember the doctor going "woah that's a big baby!" as soon as she came out. Therefore, my doctor is now concerned I may have developed late onset gestational diabetes. I don't know, it may have had something to do with the bags and bags of Sour Patch Kids and cookies and ice cream Adly made me eat, but I'm trying not to point fingers here. Anyways, this time I get to take that God awful diabetes test twice! Let the fun begin. It's ok, I'll just keep stockpiling these moments of amazing things I did for them to bring back up when my children are in high school and want to hate me.
So there you have it. We have officially entered the rollercoaster of pregnancy and new parenthood one more time. We will be becoming a family of four sometime November 2016!

Adly's Birth Part 2
Sorry to leave you hanging. My boobies were needed.
Once I sat up for an hour to let gravity do it's thing, the doctor and the army of nurses propped me back to a laying down position. Before I knew it, my legs were being held in the air, spread eagle and I was being told my job was to hold my thighs. Adam was placed on my right hand side to hold my right thigh with me and hold my neck up.
My doctor took position at the end of the bed and the other nurses grabbed various leg areas to help hold me up. I have to note here that one thing that I look back on now and kind of laugh at is the fact that throughout the time I was pushing, there were numerous doctors, nurses, and who else knows walking in and out of the room. They were all there to play their part in the delivery, but it's pretty funny to think back now about how anyone and everyone walked in and saw my lady parts in all their glory.
Anyways, when it came to the labor part I guess I had just assumed that you got to 10 cm and then the baby came out. I had NO idea about pushing and what it was all about. So naive. The nurses and doctor got right to work once my legs were up. During pushing, they watch for contractions on a monitor that is strapped to your belly to show the contractions on a richter-like scale printout. I could also feel the pressure of the contractions coming and going. At this point, my contractions were about every 2 minutes.
So here is how the pushing part goes:
-I feel a contraction coming and/or the nurses saw one on the monitor. Whoever noticed it first would say it was time to go again.
-I curl forward and take a deep breath and hold.
-I push as hard as you could ever imagine for 10 seconds as everyone counts down and cheers me on. I remember things like, "push, push, push, push!!" "just like that, keep going!!" "push toward my finger!! right there, right there!" "you got it, you're SO close! keep going, keep going!!!"
-My personal favorite was, "push like you're taking the biggest poop you've ever taken. go, go, go!!"
-I would push with all my might for 10 seconds, then take another deep breath and immediately do it all over again, four times in a row.
-Then it was break time. This was almost amusing to me. You went from pushing like hell and everyone yelling to cheer you on, to relaxing and taking deep breaths while having random conversations for the time between contractions.
-Two minutes later, it was time to do it all over again.
**We had a labor playlist. I highly recommend this for anyone in labor. It helped to distract us all during the downtime and it also helped during the madness of pushing.**
I can't even begin to explain how difficult the pushing time was. I don't think anyone will ever understand until they've done it. I was beyond exhausted. Sweat was pouring down my face, I had a cold compress on my forehead, I could hardly catch my breath. Yet, the fact that I knew my daughter was thisclose to finally coming out, forced me to dig deeper than I ever have before and find the strength to continue pushing.
Adly kept getting stuck at my pelvic bone during the pushing. Apparently it's usually the hardest part and takes a lot of effort to get the head past it. It was here that I began to get nervous she just wasn't going to make it out that way. So I stopped and leveled with my doctor. My worst fear was that I would've gone through vaginal labor, only to end up in c-section and have to recover from both. She responded with a lot of enthusiasm that we would be able to get her out....we just needed to keep on pushing.
After pushing for a little over an hour, I felt some intense pressure and then, there she was on my belly. There was no pain, it happened so quickly. Adam cut the cord and then they took her away to clean her up and run some tests on her. He followed Adly, while the doctor worked on me. I tore, so there was some stitching up to be done. According to Adam, there was also an explosive mess of blood, poo and bodily fluids that came shooting out just before Adly that needed to be cleaned up. Fun times, right!? I don't remember much of this time, I was just so exhausted.
Once Adly was good to go, they brought her over to me and laid her down on my chest. This is where I lost it. On my chest, I started talking to her. She immediately opened her eyes and started looking at me, moving her body upwards and her head to me. She recognized my voice right away. Then Adam walked over and began talking to her. She turned her head to him and started cooing and moving towards him. She also knew his voice right away. We spent the next few minutes, both sobbing, bonding with our daughter. It was an unbelievably special moment and brings me to tears every time I think or talk about it.
We got to spend about an hour alone with her before family started streaming in, two by two to meet their precious grandchild and niece. It was so special to have all of our family there to meet her right away. Once their quick visits were done, we were whisked away to the mom and baby unit where we stayed for the next two nights.
I would not change a thing when it comes to the delivery. In all, I pushed for only a little over an hour. It felt like much longer, so I feel terribly for the women who push for hours. It is exhausting work bringing a child into this world!
So that's it. One of the most amazing days of my life to date. We are beyond thrilled that she is finally here and out of my belly to join our little family.

Right after delivery. First family photo after lots of tears of joy.
All swaddled up!
I could stare at you for days...in fact, I will.
She's got him wrapped around her finger already.
Adly got confused and went for aunt Cait's boobie. According to Cait it was because it was a younger, more perky boob.
Hehehehe! Evidence of Ady's attempts.
Daddy changing for the first time. He's a rockstar and SO much help!
I mean...those CHEEKS. This was while I was sobbing in the hospital over how much I love her. Bring on the after-pregnancy hormones!
Late night chats with daddy in the hospital.
Wiggling around during some skin to skin time.
Another moment after BF'ing. Words can't describe how amazing this time is.
Showing uncle Mike the ropes on how to hold a newborn.
This is only a small chunk of pics we've taken so far. I'll be updating as I have time. We've had so many amazing moments captured already with visitors I can't wait to share.
Love,
Adam, Kelly & Adly

letdown
Yesterday I had my weekly checkup with the doc. Sunday night I had a sleepless night as I began having some painful contractions, lower back pain and if I'm honest, loose bowels. All of which are signs of labor in progress. I was so glad I was going in to the doc's that morning so she could reassure me of what was going on and that I was actually contracting.
Well, reassure me she did. She checked for dilation and I had increased from 2cm to 3cm in the last week, which I thought was HUGE. Based on all the things going on, she informed me I was definitely in "early labor".
Wooooooooo-hooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Was my reaction. THIS IS IT.
She was concerned about my increased blood pressure, so throughout the appointment she had it taken 3 times. She then told me she was on duty in the ER the next day and she thought for sure she'd be able to deliver me then. She wanted me to go into triage at the hospital right away though, to rest and get the BP down. I asked if I could go home, relax, and count contractions. She agreed with that plan because she was convinced I'd progress and end up in triage that night or the next morning for delivery.
So with that knowledge, Adam and I both jumped on our phones and got the families all riled up. My dear Michigan family jumped in their cars as soon as work let out and headed down. By 7pm, Adam and I went into triage with me having contractions every 6-8 mins and high blood pressure. I was convinced that due to the high BP, even if the contractions weren't close enough, they'd induce.
This is it. We both thought. And we were SO excited.
Well, turns out my blood pressure was fine by then. The contractions just weren't close enough. And when they checked me I was still dilated to 3cm. Therefore, I was given the option to "wait it out" in the ER or head home. To me, waiting it out in the hospital really means "you're taking up precious bed space, so we're going to c-section you." So we decided to head home.
Let me tell you, it was more depressing than I could've imagined to leave the hospital with no baby girl. As of Monday morning, I hadn't even begun to process the idea that Adly could be joining us in a day or two. But by Monday evening I had pumped myself and everyone else up to believe that it was happening and it was happening now.
But it wasn't. So Monday night, I finally slept for 6 hours and then woke up this morning with no contractions. None. Nada. WTF!?!?
So I put on my exercise gear and decided I was going to walk this baby out of me today. I mean, my whole family is here...everyone is on standby. This HAS to happen and fast. So I walked. And walked. Throughout today, the contractions have definitely increased in their painfulness. However, they are still sporadic and still frustrating the hell out of me.
I read so much about first time preggo's being admitted to the ER, only to be turned away hours later to go home and contract. I was convinced that would never be me. I'm far too anal about such things to mess up in that way. But let me tell you, the power of thinking you are going to meet your precious bundle any minute is unbelievably overwhelming. The enthusiasm of my doctor alone was enough to make me want to head in right away. Of course, they don't know for sure it's going to happen right then and there (this being said without your water breaking or without them needing to induce). They can guess...but no one knows for sure when it's going to happen.
So here is what I have learned in the last 24 hours about the stages of labor:
-Early Labor: Dilated 0-3cm, contractions are 5-20 minutes apart, can last for 12 hours or longer (for days or weeks).
-Active Labor: Dilation from 4-7cm, contractions are 3-4 minutes apart. This is when you head to the hospital.
-Transition to Labor: Dilation 7-10cm, baby heads down birth canal.
-Labor: This is when you push and life's greatest gift is your reward for all this pain.
**If your water breaks, all bets are off on the "stages of labor" and you head in immediately to be induced as the baby is then open to infection. Problem is, only about 8-10% of mommies break their water naturally. Crazy, huh?
So for now, we wait. And contract.

What's in a Name?
Like a lot of things in our relationship, picking our baby girl's name came very easily to Adam and I. In fact, it actually happened by accident. Kind of.
It dawned on me recently that I've never shared her name on the blog. I'm not sure why, there wasn't any intention behind it. I just never did I guess. Before we found out she was a girl, an overwhelming number of people had warned me to keep the name a secret--mostly due to people's opinions. We thought about doing that, but lets be honest, we're both big mouths. Plus, I honestly don't care if people don't like her name.
When Adam and I discussed children before we were married, we both agreed that their names would have to be personal in some way. We wanted them to either be carried on from another generation or have a meaning behind it that meant something to us. We also wanted them to be unique.
When we first moved in together a few years ago, I was setting up our internet name. It's the name that is visible to other people when they are looking for internet access, so obviously I didn't want it to be our real names. Being the clever gal that I am, I took our names and "celebritized" them. You know, like "Benifer" or "Brangelina". So totes orig.
Anyways, our celebrity mashup internet name became Adly Brockson (a combo of our first and last names). We're like, totally just like the celebs. Over the next year, we'd obviously always see the name pop up when we were on our computers. At one point, Adam mentioned the name "Adly" would be really cute for a little girl one day. And just like that, the name stuck.
Of course when we found out we were pregnant, we knew if it was a girl, her name had to be Adly. At that point, I researched the name, and it turns out it actually is a name. Although, it's known more as a boys name than a girls name. Even better- makes it more unique!
As for her middle name, again, we wanted it to be personal and have meaning. This one we struggled with for a while. For our next child, we intend to carry on Adam's middle name (his mothers' maiden name). That was the plan if this one was a boy, but now it will be that, regardless of the sex. Therefore, we decided to pull the middle name for our baby girl from my family.
Of course, in reality, the most important thing to me in picking the middle name was that you could yell the first and middle name together quickly and smoothly in sequence (you know, for those days when she needs to know she's really in trouble).
We bounced around a number of different names and then one day randomly came up with Danielle. Daniel is my dad's name and after testing it out, (the yell test of course) we decided it was perfect! To help it match his name more, we changed the spelling to Daniele.
So there it is. Our daughters' name is Adly Daniele.
We absolutely love the name and couldn't be more excited to have her here, see her face and call her by her name. Almost seems like it was fate....

The Great Sex Debate
No, Dad, you don't have to stop reading. Get your minds out of the gutter. I'm here today to talk about the debate we've been having the last week or so. Maybe not so much a debate, but more of trying to talk through both sides and decide on what to do. Finally, we've come to a decision.
A and I will be finding out the sex of Baby B on March 1!!
Its funny, we went into this saying absolutely no way we wanted to find out the sex. I'm not sure why, growing up I thought for sure I'd want to know once I got pregnant. It was just an idea that came to us easily and seemed to work for both of us. Then one day last week, A brought up the idea of maybe finding out.
I have to admit, until then, I hadn't even let myself begin to think about finding out. I knew if I allowed myself to think about it, the curiosity and desire for control would take over. So when A brought it up, I was kind of taken aback and a little nervous. I mean, did I want to let myself go there? To think maybe we would get a chance to know?!
After slowly talking about it more and more over the last week, we came to a mutual decision of agreeing to find out. Now I'm spilling over with anticipation and CAN. NOT. WAIT. I don't know how I wrapped my mind around not finding out for 10 months at one time.
Our reasons for deciding to find out were this:
-A will be in the height of his work season when Baby B comes into our lives and knowing ahead of time will give him time to let the idea of a girl or boy settle in and allow him to bond more.
-I agreed with the bonding part and am whole heartedly excited to start calling Baby B by its name we've decided on and not "it" anymore.
-I don't have to suffer through the last 5 months of pregnancy in wonder. And that my friends, was reason enough for me.
There are some people who feel strongly about not wanting to know Baby B's sex until its birthday, so I won't be discussing the sex on here...unless the cat really gets out of the bag. That way all 5 of my readers can continue to check in every once in a while.
For our big reveal, we're going to ask the doctor to write the sex in a card at the appointment. Then we're going to head downtown for the night and have a little "babymoon" of sorts enjoying the beautiful city we live in. We'll read the card together that night, have our own celebration and do everything in our power to not tell everyone that night what we found out. I'm excited to celebrate it together and have it be a moment for just A and I.
And lets be honest, I'm really excited to get the planning under way!

1, 2, 3....K's Pregnant!!
This past week was a whirlwind of travel and family and FINALLY getting to spill our big news to everyone. We'd been dying to tell our brothers and sisters so we were so excited when the time finally came. And they were beyond surprise.
Our plan of attack was to have A's dad hold the camera and line the siblings/significant others in front of the tree for our usual family pic. Once lined up, the camera holder said "Everyone say, Merry Christmas!" Only, our sibs weren't very enthusiastic and didn't repeat. Then A's dad said, "Alright, everyone say, "K's Pregnant!" This got A's younger brother and his gf's attention, but no one else's. He repeated it again, at which time people started looking at us like, "WHAT?!?!" To which I replied, "WE ARE PREGNANT!!"
Here's a picture of us all lined up, the baby missile about to deploy....
Shock. Pure shock...then joy ensued. It was priceless. No one was more excited than A's younger brother Mike who happens to also be our neighbor. Uncle Mike as he's calling himself now has already been talking to Baby B letting it know that he's it's uncle and how excited he is for Baby B to arrive.
Then it was off to A's whole family party. This year the big shindig was based around a talent show. A and I planned a few weeks prior to do a sort of Mad Gab bit, creating a nonsensical sentence to be said out loud to reveal its true meaning.
Our sentence was: "Hour fame lee his crow ring bye two feat his jewel I". Can you figure it out? It took a little bit- with some people guessing right away- "She's pregnant!" To which A's cousin Emily immediately replied, "She is NOT!!!". Once the sentence was finally figured out, everyone went crazy. It was a pretty neat experience to be able to tell his whole family at once. Here we are with our easel after the reveal.
Then it was off to MI to tell my siblings on Christmas day. We again deployed the plan of line the sibs up in front of the tree and once again shock the hell out of them. This time, it worked sort of like a charm. Only, when my dad said K's pregnant- my sibs didn't flinch because they thought he was joking. He kept repeating it, and then started crying. Thats when they knew something was amiss. Here's the video of that reveal.
Once again, shock. And tears. From all of us in my family. We're criers, what can I say? Any of you who attended the wedding can attest to that!
We are SO glad everyone is aware of our big news now and no more having to hide it. I'm most excited that I no longer have to fake drink!! Woo-hoo!! Its the small things in life these days.
Hope all of you had as fabulous holiday as we did!!

Its Official!!
Dating for 2 years, engaged for 7 months, married for 2 months....pregnant for 5 weeks. We sure don't like to take our time on things around here!! We are so thrilled to announce the anticipated arrival of Baby B in August 2013!! Sometimes life's greatest surprises really do come in the tiniest packages.
After a long time of staring at each other in shock, we decided we HAD to tell someone. I mean...this was exciting news after all. We decided on calling and waking up all of our parents (sorry guys). It was such an exciting moment to call on speakerphone and shock the hell out of each of them. And in a way, it made it seem more real.
We found out our big news on Monday, November 26th, just after turkey day weekend. I hadn't been feeling right in the days over the weekend, and after a fleeting discussion with coworkers at lunch, they suggested I take a pregnancy test.
I thought about it all afternoon--not heavily-- but more half-heartedly. There was no way I could be pregnant- we hadn't PLANNED this. You all know how I like my plans. I live for them. A was out with friends and had been trying to get me to meet them out after work. By then I was convincing myself entirely: I. was. not. pregnant. I avoided heading out with A and friends and instead sat at home wondering...could it be? No, it can't be. Really, it can't....could it? So I went and bought a box with 3 tests in it. Just to be sure I was not pregnant.
As soon as A came home, I took the first test--without telling him what I was doing. The second my glorious tinkle stream hit the stick, a bright, shockingly blue plus sign appeared, clear as day. HOLY SHIT!! was all I could muster.
A came running to the bathroom and the words, "I'm pregnant" spilled out of my mouth. A reacted different than I...he was completely overjoyed! Beyond shocked....but beyond happy. My thought process was more like: our honeymoon! our plans! my plans! the planning! we didn't even try!?! it wasn't even hard? WTF!?!?! Then tears...of joy and I'll admit, fear and some anger.
Let me explain the anger part. We put our honeymoon on hold to fit into both of our schedules for right after Christmas and over New Years Eve in Punta Cana. We went all out when it came to it, figuring we knew we wanted to "try" to start a family in the months following it. It would be our last "hoorah". I was REALLY looking forward to that honeymoon. I was also looking forward to "trying". I mean, lets be honest, we spend a majority of our lives as adult women doing everything in our power NOT to get pregnant. For once in our lives we're free...free to, you know, without worry and we didn't even get to do THAT!?!?! On top of that, countless numbers of my friends are currently experiencing or have experienced the pain of fertility issues. I was convinced that would most definitely be us...I mean I am 30 after all.
For the rest of that night, every few hours we took another test. And every time, without fail, the second my impregnated sprinkles of tinkle hit the stick, a glaringly blue positive sign was staring back at us. We. are. pregnant!!
In the weeks since that crazy night, Baby B has done a tremendous job of growing on me, and us. It's a surreal feeling knowing there is someone growing inside you...exciting, overwhelming, scary, and thrilling all at the same time. I still have moments where it doesn't seem real or I don't feel pregnant....only now I freak out, google what I could have done to miscarry and then I bump my ginormous, swollen, sore boobs and think....its OK, I'm definitely pregnant. This is really happening.
We'll be visiting the Dr. for the first time on December 20th for our first ultrasound at what we think will be around 7-1/2 weeks. And then we'll be sharing the news with all of you over the holidays. We hope you enjoy following along in our journey!! Oh, and the honeymoon....we cancelled it. We have vowed to take a trip once Baby B has joined our family to give us some time alone to celebrate. In the meantime, we get to re-use our flights to see our favorites Marcus and Kendra in AZ over spring break and use the money from the honeymoon to buy myself and Baby B some much needed wheels....so in the end, everything really does happen for a reason.
Love,
